Sembrar Archives is a living archive of Andean cosmovisions, carried in the voices of those who keep them.
Through books, documentary film, and photography, we sit with elders and communities to receive what they choose to share. Each first meeting begins with listening and asking permission. Held with care, and returned.
Along the spine of the Andes
Sembrar follows the mountains from Colombia through Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia, down to Chile.
It began in Ecuador, el corazón de los Andes, the heart of the Andes. That is where I first sat, listened and asked permission. From there, the path travels south, one territory at a time.
Sembrar is a work in progress. Follow me along this journey.
